5 reasons to eat #pistachios every day

Pistachios are often referred to as nuts, but they are actually stone fruits. A pistachio tree can live up to 200 years. But what do fruits contribute to our health? 5 effects:
 
1. Gives energy and keeps you full for a long time
100 grams of pistachios contain about 20 grams of protein. It gives the body energy and ensures a long-lasting feeling of satiety. The latter is also supported by the fact that the fruit also contains a lot of fiber (10 g / 100 g pistachios). They also have a digestive effect. 2. Regulation of blood pressure and blood lipid levels
Pistachios are also rich in potassium. The German Society for Nutrition (DGE) recommends a daily intake of 4,000 milligrams of this important mineral. There is already more than a quarter of this in 100 grams of pistachios: 1010 milligrams.

Potassium helps the body regulate blood pressure. It acts directly on the kidneys and sodium. In addition, fruits have a positive effect on blood lipids - and are therefore also suitable for type 2 diabetes.

3. Good for the heart
 
The unsaturated fatty acids contained in pistachios ensure a reduction in LDL cholesterol. If the value is too high, fatty deposits form on the arterial walls. As a result, the arteries narrow and blood flow is restricted. The risk of arteriosclerosis increases - and this in turn can contribute to the development of chronic heart failure, heart failure.

Pistachios contain several vitamins that have health benefits:
 
Vitamin B6: supports e.g. formation of hemoglobin and immune processes
Vitamin C: strengthens the immune system

Pistachios are rich in protein, potassium, unsaturated fatty acids and vitamins. But that's not all: They also contain magnesium, which is important for bones and teeth and supports muscle function. Phosphorus regulates e.g. acid-base balance. Zinc is involved in the formation of white blood cells and promotes wound healing.

How Many Pistachios Should You Eat? A handful of pistachios is equivalent to about 25 grams. The recommended amount varies slightly between researchers. The following applies: 30–50 grams per day are sufficient to achieve a positive health effect. You should also not eat too many pistachios - otherwise, the calories they contain can lead to unwanted weight gain. However, the right amount is reason enough to eat pistachios every day.
